This wire saw machine is cutting stones for quarrying. Strangely enough, there is no one watching it. Actually, it's not that the workers are being lazy and forgetting about the machine. It's because this wire saw machine has an automatic cutting function. Now, let's talk about the walking mechanism of the wire saw machine.

The wire saw machine moves on rails. Let's take this 75KW Power Save Master wire saw machine as an example. From the technical parameter table, we can see that it is driven by a 1.5kw walking motor. There are 4 sections of rails in total, and each section is 2m long. So, the total length of the rails is 2m * 4 = 8m. Of course, if you want longer rails, it's also possible. You just need to add more sections. However, once you lengthen the rails, when the machine reaches the end of the rails, the distance between the machine and the cutting object will be farther. To ensure that the Diamond Wire Saw in this distance won't cut into the ground, you need to add guide wheels under the wire for support, or use discarded tires as support.

When the wire saw machine is cutting stones, it moves backward while cutting, keeping the diamond wire saw in a taut state for effective cutting. There are two cutting modes for the wire saw machine: manual mode and automatic mode. In the manual mode, workers need to constantly monitor the tension of the diamond wire saw. If the wire is too loose and starts to swing, they need to manually increase the walking speed of the machine to keep the wire taut. On the contrary, if the wire is too tight, they need to manually adjust the walking speed of the machine to slow it down. If the wire is too tight and the machine moves too fast, the wire may break. This sounds a bit scary and not very reassuring. At this time, the advantage of the automatic cutting mode becomes obvious. After we set the cutting speed, current, and walking parameters, and turn the cutting mode knob to the automatic position, the machine will enter the automatic cutting mode. When the wire is loose, the machine will automatically move faster; when the wire is too tight, the machine will automatically slow down without manual intervention, making its own judgment.

Here's a question: When the wire saw machine reaches the end of the rails and has nowhere to go, but the stone to be cut is too large and not yet fully cut, what should we do? We'll answer this question in a special video later. So, please remember to follow us.
