How should you buy the power plug for a wire saw machine?
How should you buy the power plug for a wire saw machine? Hello, everyone. I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. In this video, we'll share why the plug of a wire saw machine is prone to burning, whether it's okay to directly connect the wires without using a plug, and what model of power plug you should choose when buying a wire saw machine.
Some quarries even list the power plug of the wire saw machine as a consumable! Because their plugs often burn out, they frequently make purchases. Actually, as long as you buy the right plug and use it properly, the plug isn't that easy to burn out. Let's first talk about the common reasons for it to burn out.
Reasons for Plug Burnout
First situation: The plug isn't plugged in tightly
The current of a wire saw machine is relatively large. If the plug isn't plugged in tightly, it will lead to poor contact. When a large current passes through, it will generate heat and then cause the plug to burn out. The solution is to check again whether the plug is plugged in tightly after inserting it.
Second situation: There are foreign objects inside the plug
The foreign objects mentioned here are mainly mud. The working sites of wire saw machines are always muddy. When the wire saw machine finishes cutting and needs to be moved to the next cutting position, workers unplug the plug and casually throw it aside. It's easy for mud to get into the plug. If you don't clean it up and dry it before powering it on, it will cause the plug to heat up and burn out. Strengthen the workers' awareness of using the plug safely and strictly follow the principle of checking the plug before using it.
Third situation: Applying butter
We've found that there are quite a number of quarries with this problem. Some workers apply butter to the plug pins to make plugging and unplugging smoother. This is exactly the same as the situation where there are foreign objects inside the plug. The solution is to prohibit applying butter to the plug.

Plug Selection
When buying a plug, you must buy an aviation plug. What is an aviation plug? An aviation plug is a cylindrical electronic connector mainly used for reliable connection of electrical circuits. It got its name because it was initially used in the military field. Its core features are high - voltage resistance, anti - interference, waterproof and dustproof, and corrosion resistance, and it can maintain stable transmission in extreme environments. When buying, just choose the 125A one, and you're good to go!
