Dear novice friends who have just entered the stone quarrying industry, today let's have a heart - to - heart talk: Is it advisable to buy a second - hand wire saw machine? First, the conclusion: I sincerely don't recommend novices to do so, especially those who have never even touched the switch of a wire saw machine. In this video, I'll explain the three major pitfalls to you.

Second - hand Wire Saw Machines

Pitfall 1: Invisible safety hazards

Once, I received a second - hand wire saw machine from a customer for trade - in. When we brought it back to the factory and connected it to the power supply for testing, it was actually leaking electricity! One of our technicians got an electric shock. It took our technician more than a week to completely solve the electricity - leakage problem. Even if a wire saw machine looks good on the outside, you can't be sure if its previous owner maintained it well. The working environment of wire saw machines is extremely harsh, full of mud and water mist. In such an environment, the electrical parts of the wire saw machine will be corroded by the muddy water. We can visually inspect the mechanical parts, but it's very difficult to judge the electrical parts without professional instruments, equipment, and maintenance experience. It may seem okay at first glance, but one day, there could be a short - circuit, smoke, or even a risk of electric shock.

Pitfall 2: Frequent breakdowns delay production

A boss bought a second - hand wire saw machine for 8000 yuan from somewhere. He tested it at the seller's place, and the driving wheel could rotate, and the machine could move normally. But when he took it to the quarry and started using it, something would break down every day. When he wanted to contact the manufacturer, he suddenly realized that he didn't know which manufacturer the machine was from. The nameplate of the machine was long gone, and the seller blocked him. Finally, through the worker who was working for him, he got in touch with me. I sent him parts four times in a week. You can imagine how much it delayed the work. How much stone could have been quarried in that wasted week.

Pitfall 3: Possible legal disputes

A boss bought a second - hand wire saw machine from someone else to quickly expand his production capacity. When there was a small breakdown during use, he directly contacted the manufacturer for after - sales service. But when the manufacturer checked, they found that the previous boss hadn't paid off the balance for the wire saw machine. According to the previous contract, the product belongs to the manufacturer if the corresponding balance hasn't been paid, and the buyer can't transfer or sell it privately. He tried to contact the seller, but the seller disappeared, not answering the phone or replying to WeChat messages. Finally, he had no choice but to pay off the 20,000 - yuan balance that the seller still owed to the manufacturer, and then the manufacturer sent someone to do on - site maintenance. We don't know if he finally resolved the 20,000 - yuan issue with the seller amicably.

Two suggestions for novices with limited budgets

  1. Buy from the manufacturer: For example, the machine I sold today was recycled from a customer. After recycling, we'll check and repair all the parts of the machine from top to bottom and inside out, and do a new round of maintenance to ensure that the customer gets a wire saw machine with perfect performance. Moreover, we also offer a 30 - day warranty. Of course, there are relatively few such second - hand machines, and they're not always available.

  2. Partner with an experienced master: Work with someone with experience to ensure both equipment and technology. If you don't know any experienced masters, you can contact me, and I'll recommend someone to you.

Finally, I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. I hope to be your partner on the stone quarrying journey. If you encounter any problems when buying a wire saw, you can contact me privately. See you in the next video.
