In fact, the reason why the Power Save Master wire saw machine can start smoothly at low speed without manual assistance is mainly due to its use of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The permanent magnet synchronous motor has a characteristic called constant torque. Whether it's in the low - speed startup phase or the high - speed cutting phase, the motor can maintain a stable torque output during operation. That's what constant torque means.
Here are two technical parameter sheets of wire saw machines. If you look closely, you'll find that in the parameters of the picture on the right, the torques of the main motors of wire saw machines with different power models are marked. The torque of the 37KW model is 353N.M, and that of the 75KW model is 716N.M. Then why don't the conventional wire saw machines using three - phase asynchronous motors mark the torque? That's because the torque of a three - phase asynchronous motor is variable. The torque is small at startup. After startup, it first increases to the maximum torque as the speed rises and then gradually decreases. When running stably, the torque is the rated torque. Moreover, when the load increases or the power supply voltage decreases, the torque will increase; conversely, the torque will decrease.
