Hello, everyone. I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. In the technical parameter table of the wire saw machine, there is an item called "maximum wire length it can drive". That is, the maximum length of the wire it can drive. The smallest 37KW wire saw machine can drive a wire of 80m, and the largest 75KW wire saw machine can drive a wire of 150m. Taking the 75KW wire saw machine as an example, theoretically, it can cut any area that can be enclosed by a 150m Diamond Wire Saw. So, what is the maximum area? This is actually a primary - school math problem, that is, finding the area when the perimeter is known. There is a rule: among shapes with the same perimeter, a square has the largest area. Maybe you've forgotten it, but it doesn't matter. A square is a quadrilateral with equal sides. So, its side length is 150/4 = 37.5m. The area formula is side length * side length = 37.5 * 37.5 = 1406.25 square meters. Oh my god, that's amazing! But is this the actual situation? Definitely not. A cutting distance of 37.5m is too long, and it's very difficult for the wire saw machine to cut. What is the cutting distance? If we want to split a piece of firewood, we'll definitely split it from the top rather than the middle because it's easier to split from the top. Now, if you're asked to cut an area with a wire saw, would you place the wire saw machine like in Figure A or Figure B? The same principle applies. It's definitely Figure B. Because the cutting distance ab in Figure B is shorter than the cutting distance ad in Figure A. The shorter the friction distance with the wire, the faster the cutting speed. This is the cutting distance. Through a lot of practice, we've found that the optimal cutting distance for a wire saw machine is 4 - 6 meters. The closer it is to 6 meters, the slower the efficiency gradually becomes; the closer it is to 4 meters, the faster the efficiency. So, to ensure the cutting efficiency, the maximum cutting area of a 75KW wire saw machine should be 4 * 71 = 284 square meters. Have I made it clear?
