Look. The beads on this Diamond Wire Saw have become loose. We call this situation 'bead shifting'. What causes bead shifting? And how can we avoid it?

Hello, everyone. I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. The phenomenon of bead shifting is actually easy to understand. On a normal diamond wire saw, each bead is fixed on the steel wire rope, and there is a fixed distance between beads. When a bead becomes loose and moves towards one end, this situation is called bead shifting, also known as bead detachment.

Reasons and Solutions for Bead Shifting in Diamond Wire Saws

Causes of bead shifting

  1. If the stone being cut contains gravel that is harder than the stone itself, when the linear speed of the wire saw machine is too fast and it encounters the harder gravel during cutting, the high - speed moving beads are likely to hit the gravel and cause bead shifting.

  2. When starting the sawing process, if the linear speed of the machine is too fast, bead shifting is also likely to occur.

  3. If the rubber quality of the diamond wire saw used is poor, bead shifting is more likely to happen.

Solutions to bead shifting

  1. Check the cross - section of the previously cut stone. If gravel is found, try multiple times to find a suitable cutting linear speed and conduct quarrying on the premise that the diamond wire saw will not experience bead shifting.

  2. When starting the machine for cutting, adopt a method of starting slowly and then increasing the speed. Generally, in the first 10 - 20 minutes, keep the rotation speed of the wire saw machine at 200 - 300 revolutions per minute, and then gradually increase the speed.

  3. If you encounter a diamond wire saw with poor rubber quality, immediately change the supplier. For example, you can contact me, and I can provide you with high - quality and cost - effective diamond wire saws.

Finally, I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. I hope to be your partner on the stone - quarrying journey. If you encounter any problems when buying a wire saw, you can contact me privately. See you in the next video.
