Method of Coiling the Diamond Wire Saw
Look. This is a Diamond Wire Saw that has experienced uneven wear. Why do we say it has uneven wear? It's obvious from the picture that the rope on this side has been worn smooth, while the other sides haven't been worn at all. This situation where only one side is worn is called uneven wear. A rope that has experienced uneven wear is no longer suitable for cutting mountain rocks. If the uneven wear is severe, the rope can only be discarded. So how can we avoid uneven wear of the diamond wire saw?
Hello, everyone. I'm Oliver Mo, who manufactures and sells wire saws. When using a diamond wire saw to cut stones, to avoid uneven wear, we need to coil the rope first. The specific steps for coiling are as follows:
Straighten the rope.
Continue to twist the diamond wire saw in the same direction as the internal steel wire rope is twisted. For new ropes, twist 2 turns per meter; for old ropes, twist 1.5 turns per meter.
After coiling, connect the rope with a steel wire connector to form a closed - loop, and then put it on the wire saw machine and start cutting.
The masters in the video are coiling the rope. After coiling, when the rope is in motion, while being pulled forward rapidly by the machine, it also rotates on its own axis. This way, every part of the 360 - degree surface of the rope will come into contact with the stone during cutting, thus avoiding uneven wear.
