Hello, everyone. I'm Oliver Mo, engaged in the production and sales of wire saws. Water is needed to cool the wire saw when the wire saw machine is cutting, and it's also needed to cool the drill bit when the horizontal directional drilling rig is boring. Water is essential in these operations. Based on my visits to various quarries, here are several ways of storing production water:
Build a water reservoir at a high place
Use an excavator to build a water reservoir at a location with a higher altitude than the quarrying operation area. This is a very simple, efficient, and practical method. However, since most quarries are rocky mountains, this method is not suitable for all quarries.
Purchase water storage tanks
Use plastic water storage tanks to store water as the water supply equipment and place them at a location higher than the quarrying operation area. Purchase a certain number of water storage tanks according to the water consumption of the equipment. The advantage is that they are small in size and easy to transport to the mountain. If you have several tanks but only one water pump, you need to ensure that these tanks are connected.
Use abandoned oil tanks
Abandoned oil tanks like this are large in volume and have thick tank walls, making them particularly suitable as the first choice for water storage in quarries. The disadvantage is that they are large in size and difficult to transport up the mountain.
No matter which of the above three Quarry water supply facilities you choose, you'll need a water pump for water pumping. When buying a water pump, it's best to choose one with a float valve switch. In this way, when you use water and the water level drops to the set height, the float valve switch will open, and the water pump will automatically start pumping water. When the water level pumped by the water pump reaches the set height, the float valve will close, and the water pump will automatically stop working. This design can keep your production water at an ideal level all the time.
